Dublin GAA and its current shirt sponsor Vodafone yesteday launched plans to open the county’s 2012 league campaigns with a unique charitable initiative.
Instead of wearing jerseys emblazoned with the Vodafone logo during the county’s mouth-watering matches with Kerry and Galway in the football and hurling leagues, Dublins teams will take to the field in kits bearing the logo of mental health charity Suicide or Survive (SOS).

The jerseys will make their debut in Dublin’s much anticipated Croke Park Spring Series clash with Kerry on February 4, before receiving a second outing during the hurling team’s season-opener with Galway on February 26.
