    Dear Sir/Madame,

I would like to voice an relation to RTE’s reporting on the removal of the pub ban on Good Friday. The RTE reporter revered to what they say is seen as “an outdated law” being brought to question. As it happens, I live in France and will not be affected in any case. Apparently though the Liberal Media in Ireland no longer have anything to do with freedom speech, they have become a mob.

Most of the people that I know do not think that it is “an outdated law”. Of course we don’t have the same voice and influence over the judicial system. Also it should be noted that that Irish drinking habits disgust the outside world. Alteast that’s true of those I associate with in Paris.

One day I would like to catalog the destruction caused to Irish society by RTE over the last 15 Years. I would start with their favorable reporting of one Berti Aherne especially around election times. I should also mention RTE reports from one sided economists during the building boom and the lobbying of government for “Stamp Duty Reform” i.e “remove that darn social tax and let the properties rise and rise” . Recently I have heard various soundings from RTE of the need to change the constitution, Aaaaaaaaah!

Sure Ireland needs change. But not designed and brought about by a handful at RTE.

    Kind Regards
    Paul Doyle
